| Review: As the title of this software implies, Free Video to Audio Converter is a tool that allows you to easily encode media files (e.g. MKV, AVI, MOV, MP3, MPEG) to audio tracks (e.g. WMA, FLAC, WAV, OGG, MP2). The interface of the program is very plain but simple to navigate through. Media files can be imported into the list by using the file browser only, since the drag and drop method is not supported. Batch processing is permitted. Once you add a media file, you can specify its output format and extension, as well as configure audio settings regarding the sample frequency rate, bit rate, channel and volume. But you can also preview the clip and trim it by marking the start and end time, copy the timestamp, enable Free Video to Audio Converter to overwrite existing files, and more. In the list you can check out the input, total time, original size, output, progress, frames per second, current time and output size of each file. After you add multiple tasks to the list (with each file having its own settings), you can proceed with the conversion process by clicking the Start button. The media conversion tool requires a moderate amount of system resources, quickly completes a job and manages to keep a very good sound quality. No errors have occurred during our tests and Free Video to Audio Converter did not freeze or crash. Theres also a brief help file that you can check out if you don know how to get started. On the other hand, the interface needs some major improvements because it is outdated. Also, you cannot edit a task once you have added it to the list. Even so, we strongly recommend Free Video to Audio Converter to all users, regardless of their experience level. |
