| Review: Cambridge Advanced Learners is a software application which includes a dictionary with the English language. It can be easily handled by linguists, writers, translators or common users. The app is wrapped in a plain and intuitive interface where you can write a word in the search box, in order to view its definition, examples and expressions it is included in, if this is the case. Furthermore, you can go to the previous or next entry, pin down all words which include the string you have written, hide the toolbar, as well as increase or decrease the text size. From the Options screen, you can make Cambridge Advanced Learners stay on top of other applications, minimize to the system tray area and translate on double click, as well as enable automatic Clipboard translation mode. The simple-to-use piece of software is very responsive to commands and displays results as you write text. It includes a help file and runs on a moderate amount of CPU and system memory. We have not come across any issues during our testing; Cambridge Advanced Learners did not freeze, crash or pop up errors. Although it comes with limited features, Cambridge Advanced Learners can be easily figured out, even by inexperienced users, thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity.
